The 7 Days theme today was “Hot” but San Diego isn’t much hot until August or so. Instead we have something called "June Gloom." Even so, we spent the evening doing very summery things you’d do on a hot day.
We met our friends at the beach to celebrate the summer solstice. The kids swam and played and then we sat down for a story by Karen and snacks (lemon bars, fresh fruits, and lemonade). We tossed some flower petals into the sea and into the fire and sang Harry Belafonte’s "Turn the World Around." And then we lit up the night with a bonfire.
And now I is tired.
Happy summer (and winter), everyone!
